This research presents an analysis of the recognition of copyright in Nicaragua in scientific or technical works in the light of Law 312 Copyright Law and its related rights, specific case of UNAN-León, the way of recognizing and compensaating moral and economic rights, the most important aspects of the registration procedure in the ONDADX , a brief comparison of copyright is made in Chile and Nicaragua, concluding that the procedures used in Chile are more expeditious as it allows to make use of the different mechanisms of registration of a scientific or technical work. Esta investigación expone un análisis del reconocimiento del derecho de autor en Nicaragua en las obras científicas o técnicas a la luz de la ley 312 Ley de Derecho de Autor y sus derechos conexos, caso específico de UNAN-León, la forma de reconocimiento y de resarcir los derechos morales y patrimoniales, los aspectos más importantes del procedimiento de inscripción en la ONDADX, se realiza una breve comparación del derecho de autor en Chile y Nicaragua, concluyendo que los procedimientos usados en Chile son más expeditos ya que permite hacer uso de los diferentes mecanismos de inscripción de una obra científica o técnica.
