Tatik Samuel, as the indigenous peoples called him, stood out for being a defender of the rights of the indigenous peoples of Mexico and Latin America. The purpose of this article is to expose to the public the existence of this database, as well as some of the topics that we can find in this documentary reservoir that may be useful for those who are interested in knowing and reconstructing the history of Chiapas and even Latin America during the second half of the 20th century. En mayo del 2019 se concluyó la base de datos del Fondo Monseñor Samuel Ruiz García que resguarda el Archivos Histórico Diocesano de San Cristóbal de Las Casas. Tatik Samuel, como le llamaban los pueblos indígenas se destacó por ser un defensor de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas de México y Latinoamérica. Este artículo busca dar a conocer la existencia de dicha base de datos, así como algunos de los temas que podemos encontrar en este reservorio documental que pueden ser de utilidad para quienes estén interesados en conocer y reconstruir la historia de Chiapas e incluso, de América Latina, durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Em maio de 2019, foi concluída a base de dados do Fundo Monsenhor Samuel Ruiz García, que protege o Arquivo Histórico Diocesano de San Cristóbal de Las Casas. Tatik Samuel, como os povos indígenas o chamavam, se destacou por ser um defensor dos direitos dos povos indígenas do México e da América Latina. Este artigo procura dar a conhecer a existência desta base de dados, bem como alguns dos tópicos que podemos encontrar neste reservatório documental que podem ser úteis para os interessados ​​em conhecer e reconstruir a história de Chiapas e mesmo da América Latina durante a segunda metade do século XX.
