Also we present preliminary observations related to their behavoir and distribution in this ecosystem, as well as, a hypothesis to explain their introduction.       En este trabajo se reporta la presencia de un pez ornamental exótico, el festivo o cíclido bandera, Mesonauta festivus (Heckel 1840), en las aguas del Lago Gatún, Canal de Panamá.
