This event was held in two modalities, the first one virtually before the congress and the second one in person with the presentation of national and international speakers. Its main objective was to promote research, innovation, and linkage with society. 51 papers were selected according to the terms of the call and the abstracts are presented in this issue of the journal Synergía by collaboration agreements between the Technical University of Babahoyo and the University of Panama. Este evento se realizó bajo dos modalidades, la primera de forma virtual antes del congreso y la segunda de manera presencial con la exposición de ponentes tanto nacionales como internacionales. Siendo su objetivo primordial el de promover la investigación, la innovación y la vinculación con la sociedad. 51 ponencias fueron seleccionadas de acuerdo con los términos de la convocatoria y son presentados los resúmenes en este número de la revista Synergía por convenios de colaboración que mantiene la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo con la Universidad de Panamá.
