The objective of this article is to identify the types of grammatical categories and structures prevailing in Amor y control song. Also, to determine if the internal structure of the statements of Amor y control song is made up of coordinating, subordinating and juxtaposed elements. This research is part of a qualitative-documentary approach and, above all, in the guidelines established by text linguistics as a science dedicated to studying the phenomena of language as a complex system, its structures and functioning. In conclusion, it is recommended to carry out these types of morphosyntactic analysis, since they help to improve students' linguistic skills and their ability to express themselves, allowing them to understand how the language works in each context. El artículo Estudio morfosintáctico de la canción Amor y control del cantante y compositor Rubén Blades presenta un análisis tanto morfológico como sintáctico de las palabras, categorías gramaticales y oraciones que forman parte de este discurso. El objetivo de este artículo es identificar los tipos de categorías gramaticales y estructuras prevalecientes en la canción Amor y control. Además, determinar si la estructura interna de los enunciados de la canción Amor y control se compone de elementos coordinantes, subordinantes y yuxtapuestos.  Esta investigación se enmarca en un enfoque cualitativo – documental y, sobre todo, en los lineamientos que establece la lingüística del texto como una ciencia que se dedica a estudiar los fenómenos de la lengua por tratarse un sistema complejo, sus estructuras y funcionamiento. En conclusión, se recomienda realizar estos tipos de análisis morfosintácticos, ya que ayudan a mejorar las competencias lingüísticas de los estudiantes y su capacidad de expresión, permitiéndoles comprender cómo funciona la lengua en un contexto determinado.
