To study the system of the rice, in the first place models are built of social-diagrams, that permit a holistic perspective. In second place, these social-diagrams serve of base to build a matrix social-metrics, that estimated the social capital of the system, the leadership of the social actors and they quantify the feedbacks of information of the system. In third place a scene is built that reflect the present chaos of the system, which is compared with the previous model by hypothesis of a chi-square test. Finally an interpretation of the lobbies of power to be able is done.   El arroz es indispensable en la canasta de consumo diario del costarricense y, ningún otro producto lo sustituye; pero, el país produce sólo el 55% del consumo nacional, agravado por los conflictos de industriales vis à vis productores. Para estudiar el sistema del arroz, en primer lugar se construyen modelos de sociogramas, que permiten una perspectiva holística. En segundo lugar, estos sociogramas sirven de base para construir matrices sociométricas, que estiman el capital social del sistema, el liderazgo de los actores sociales y cuantifican las retroalimentaciones de información del sistema. En tercer lugar se construye un escenario que refleje el caos actual del sistema, el cual se compara con el modelo anterior mediante una prueba chi-cuadrado. Por último se hace una interpretación de las camarillas de poder.
