Se realizó en colaboración entre las Universidades Autónomas de Chiapas (UNACH) y la Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco (UJAT) en el sur de México, las cuales ofrecen esta modalidad y cuentan con personal que posee ya experiencia en la realización de contenidos y materiales para este tipo de programas.  Se conformó un sistema de indicadores a través de la revisión de literatura y se puso a consideración de los expertos para su estimación. Para seleccionar a los jueces se utilizó el Método de Autoselección de Expertos, estrategia que representa una oportunidad para la construcción de instrumentos de valoración de la calidad. Exponemos los resultados de esta experiencia así como una reflexión las ventajas y limitaciones en el uso de este método. Palabras Clave: Método Delphi, calidad, indicadores, programas a distancia.  AbstractThis article describes an experience in which Delphi method was used to weigh a number of indicators so that the distance learning programs can be self evaluates. The study was carried out with the Universidad Juarez Autónoma de Tabasco (UJAT) in collaboration with the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas (UNACH), both institutions located in southern of Mexico. These institutions offer this type of distance learning programs as well as the staff with experience in conducting and designing materials. A system of indicators was made based on the literature review, and taken into consideration the experts´ estimation. A group of experts was selected using the Self-selection strategy,  that provides an opportunity for the construction of instruments for assessing quality. We present the results of this experience and a reflection of the advantages and limitations in using this method.Keywords: Dephi Method Quality, indicators, distance learning program.
