| Sumario: | Este estudio tuvo como objetivo explorar la estructura factorial de la Escala de Pensamiento Crítico (CLS) en una muestra salvadoreña de estudiantes de nivel superior. La investigación es de naturaleza cuantitativa y se utilizó un diseño transversal no experimental cuyo alcance fue exploratorio. Los resultados revelan la existencia de una solución factorial para la Escala de Pensamiento Crítico, con un índice de confiabilidad aceptable. No se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas según el sexo, el tipo de estudio de los participantes y el área geográfica. Finalmente, se discuten las limitaciones del estudio y los desafíos para futuras investigaciones. This study aimed to explore the factorial structure of the Critical Thinking Scale (CLS) in a Salvadoran sample of higher level students. The research is quantitative in nature and a non-experimental cross-sectional design whose scope was exploratory was used. The results reveal the existence of a factorial solution for the Critical Thinking Scale, with an acceptable reliability index. No statistically significant differences were found according to sex, type of study of the participants and geographical area. Finally, the limitations of the study and the challenges for future research are discussed.
