Particularly, I seek to identify how the Newtonian conception of space as a container survives, since colonial modernity, in the definition of territory and nation, having ethical and political effects in dealing with migrants and people in search of refuge. A philosophical, spatial, and ethical perspective on this would make it possible to criticize the idea of the container in which the relationship between territory, identity and nation continues to be imprisoned. I argue that it must be rethought by deconstructing the oppositions between being and appearance that underlie other disjunctions, among them, those of the interior/exterior or the body/soul dualism. Desde la perspectiva deconstructiva de Jacques Derrida, me interesa identificar y repensar algunos de los paradigmas que median las formas de conceptualización del espacio. Particularmente, busco identificar cómo la concepción newtoniana del espacio como contenedor sobrevive, desde la modernidad colonial, en la definición de territorio y de nación, teniendo efectos éticos y políticos en el trato con personas migrantes y en búsqueda de refugio. Una perspectiva filosófica, espacial y ética de esto permitiría criticar la idea del contenedor en la que sigue presa la relación entre territorio, identidad y nación. Sostengo que esta debe ser repensada mediante la deconstrucción de las oposiciones entre ser y parecer que fundamentan otras disyunciones, entre ellas, las de lo interior/exterior o del dualismo cuerpo/alma.
