LETRAS179202023-02-08T18:49:56Z The Güegüence: Identity and Criticism El Güegüense: identidad y crítica Mora Fernández, Gabriel Nicaragua The Güegüence identity literary criticism historical discourse Nicaragua El Güegüense identidad crítica literaria discurso histórico From the paradigm of cultural studies and in the light of Hall’s, Restrepo’s and Larraín’s theories of identity, as well as Foucault’s discursive formation, an analysis is carried out on different positions on the concept of identity that Nicaraguan literary criticism formulated from Güegüence. Emphasis is placed on literary criticism of the second half of the twentieth century and the cultural-ideological debates established by contemporary literary criticism. It is shown how the notion of identity has gone from arbitrariness to theorization. Desde el paradigma de los estudios culturales y a la luz de las teorías de la identidad de Hall, Restrepo y Larraín, así como de la formación discursiva según Foucault, se analizan diferentes planteos sobre el concepto de identidad que la crítica literaria nicaragüense ha construido de El Güegüense. Se hace hincapié en la crítica literaria de la segunda mitad del siglo XX y en los debates ideológico-culturales que establece la crítica literaria contemporánea. Se muestra que la noción de identidad pasa desde la arbitrariedad hasta la teorización.
