The main objective is to explain how a dialogic tension is configured by appealing to common law to affirm the discursive values of a social group through discursive mechanisms that make possible the liberation of the consciences of the subjects represented there. To support this analysis, we start with the concept of literature as an ideological sign through the notions of dialogism and third interpreter, developed in the works of Mijaíl Bakhtin, as well as the theory of paratexts by Gerard Genette. Se estudia el texto dramático español Petra regalada, de Antonio Gala. Se explica cómo se configura una tensión dialógica apelando al derecho consuetudinario para afirmar los valores discursivos de un grupo social mediante mecanismos discursivos que posibilitan la liberación de las conciencias de los sujetos allí representados. Para fundamentar este análisis, se parte del concepto de literatura como signo ideológico a través de las nociones de dialogismo y tercer interpretante, desarrolladas en los trabajos de Mijaíl Bajtín, así como la teoría de los paratextos de Gerard Genette.
