The analysis by linear regression or higher order allows us to determine the degree of relationship that has one variable with respect to another. In this paper, we study the relation of the development of a sector with the increase or decrease ofthe general wealth of a nation.The sector selected for the study is Transport, Storage and Communications. For Panama,where much of its economy focuses on the transportation of goods and people, being aninternational logistics center; As well as the storage of products and to a lesser extenttelecommunication, a study of this type could yield numerous new and valuable data for deeperand more specialized analysis.This study was based on real GDP growth, based on 2007, of the Republic of Panama and on thegrowth of the selected sector, during the years 2000 to 2015. El estudio de los sectores económicos de una región es una herramienta indispensable para conocer los diferentes elementos que afectan a la economía de un país. Los análisis mediante regresión lineal o de orden superior nos permite determinar el grado de relación que tiene una variable con respecto a otra. En este trabajo, particularmente, se estudia la relación del desarrollo de un sector con el incremento o disminución de la riqueza general de una nación. El sector seleccionado para el estudio es el Transporte, Almacenamiento y comunicaciones. Para Panamá, donde gran parte su economía se centra en el transporte de mercancías y personas, al ser un centro logístico internacional; al igual que el almacenamiento de productos y en menor grado las telecomunicaciones, un estudio de este tipo ´podría arrojar numerosos datos nuevos y valiosos para análisis de mayor profundidad y más especializado. Este estudio se basó en el crecimiento de PIB real, con base en el año 2007, de la República de Panamá y en el crecimiento particular del sector seleccionado, durante los años 2000 hasta el 2015.
