Nietszche for instance said that there are no facts, there are only interpretations and more recently Adrianna Betti has argued that we have no good reason to accept facts in our catalog of the world. Our argument is on the contrary a defense of facts from the ontological point of view (there are facts as a part of our catalog of the world). Such commitment is understood not within a metaphysical framework but within a practice: the law. So, we specifically argue that a world with facts is preferable to a world without them. Nietzsche llegó a afirmar que no hay hechos, solamente hay interpretaciones, y más recientemente Adrianna Betti ha sostenido que no hay ninguna buena razón para aceptar los hechos como parte de nuestro catálogo sobre el mundo. Nuestro argumento, por el contrario, es un argumento a favor de los hechos desde el punto de vista ontológico (existen hechos como parte de nuestro catálogo), entendidos no tanto en el marco de una teoría metafísica per se, sino en el marco de una práctica: la del derecho. En ese sentido argumentamos que, jurídicamente hablando, un mundo con hechos es preferible a uno sin ellos. Universidad de Panamá.
