Taking as connecting point the female body and the way it is positioned in relation to the outside world, the article analyzes how Yosano, Sagawa and Ito –each in her own subversive way– use different languages to explore the female body itself, as well as themes such as female sexuality, love, motherhood and death. Este artículo se enfoca en tres poetas japonesas contemporáneas Yosano Akiko, Sagawa Chika e Hito Hiromi como ejemplos de mujeres que rompen con las convenciones de la “poesía para mujeres” y desvirtúan la imagen de la femineidad que ha sido tradicionalmente reflejada en los poemas escritos por mujeres japonesas, al mismo tiempo que conservan en sus trabajos temas relacionados con el sexo femenino. Al tomar como punto de conexión el cuerpo femenino y la manera en que se ha posicionado en relación al mundo exterior, este artículo analiza como Yosano, Sagawa e Ito, cada una en su propia forma subversiva, usa diferentes lenguajes para explorar el cuerpo femenino per se, al igual que temas como la sexualidad femenina, el amor, la maternidad y la muerte.
