El texto es un comentario a una obra escrita por la profesora Olga Echeverría Murray, “Philipp Johann Joseph Valentini: Intelectual decimonónico” publicado por la editorial EUNED 2019. Se abordan los elementos que a nuestro juicio son relevantes de destacar en un libro de lectura interesante y cercana, rico en información sustantiva referida al contexto sociohistórico de Costa Rica y de la región, en el que el señor Valentini desarrolló su investigación y vivió por varios años. Se hace una invitación a las personas para que lean el libro y lo disfruten.
