It finishes making an emphasis on the restructure of the passage based on the characteristics ofthe postmodern era. Postulates undermine the principles of originality and the authorship of the writter, by showingonce more the intertextual condition and innovative way of the process reading-writing. Este artículo hace una revisión teórica de la escritura y su carácter intertextual, para luego, enfocarse en la reescriturade los mitos como una estrategia en la innovación literaria y, para este fin, toma el pasaje clásico de las sirenas de laOdisea de Homero y rastrea el uso que se le ha dado a través del siglo XX y XXI, y se presentan diferencias estéticassegún la época. Concluye haciendo énfasis en la reescritura de este pasaje según las características de la estéticaposmoderna. Estos postulados socavan los principios de originalidad y de autoría del genio y muestran una vez másla condición intertextual e innovadora del proceso lectura-escritura.
