As a product of this tie, the ETCG position was obtained with high accuracy, with errors in the adjusted coordinates on the order centimeter, wich leaves open the possibility to make new measurements and to study the motion that happens in that particular point whit high accuracy. In this investigation, two types of new links were made to the world system, by means of differential GPS measurements, one made in mid 1999, and the other, at the end of the year 2000. The results show that within the period selected, an three-dimensional motion existed in the ETCG point, however considering only the coordinates of latitude and longitude, the resultant motion was not statistically significant. Con el fin de estudiar la variación en la posición elipsoídica del punto ETCG, se hicieron mediciones GPS en dos épocas diferentes, después de que dicho punto se vinculó por primera vez al sistema mundial, Sistema de Referencia Terrestre Internacional (ITRF), en el año 1998. Como producto del primer amarre, se obtuvo la posición de ETCG con una gran exactitud, al tener errores en las coordenadas ajustadas del orden centimétrico, lo cual dejó abierta la posibilidad de realizar nuevas mediciones y estudiar el movimiento que sufre el punto, con un alto grado de exactitud. En la investigación realizada se hicieron dos nuevos amarres al sistema mundial mediante mediciones GPS en la modalidad diferencial, uno a mediados del año 1999 y otro a finales del año 2000. Los resultados demuestran que en el período considerado existió un movimiento tridimensional significativo del punto ETCG, sin embargo, considerando solo las coordenadas de latitud y longitud, el desplazamiento resultante no es estadísticamente significativo.
