The sightings were segmented into three cycles: the rainy season, from September to November, the dry season from December to the beginning of March, and the dry season from the end of March to April. An amount of 10,542, 17,898, and 914 individuals, respectively, was reported; distributed in three families: Scolopacidae in the autumn period with 63%, Charadriidae in the winter with 53.92% and Haematopodidae in the autumn season with 0.79% they were the most abundant families, respectively. Within our most representative statistical analysis, abundance is low in relation to the Berger Parker index for our three stations; In terms of our diversity, on the contrary, it was high with the aforementioned index. The decreases in birds on the beaches of Azuero should lead us to become aware and implement projects to improve spaces and habitat connection on their migration route. Se determinó la abundancia y diversidad de aves playeras en la playa El Agallito entre septiembre de 2021 y abril de 2022, con una observación mensual, de acuerdo con la amplitud de la marea, por un periodo de 2 horas. Los avistamientos se segmentaron en tres ciclos: estación lluviosa, de septiembre a noviembre, de diciembre a inicios de marzo estación seca y de finales de marzo a abril estación seca. Se reportó una cantidad de 10 542, 17 898 y 914 individuos respectivamente; distribuidos en tres familias: Scolopacidae en el periodo otoñal con 63 %, Charadriidae en el invernal con 53,92 % y Haematopodidae en la estación otoñal con 0.79 % fueron las familias más abundantes respectivamente. Dentro de nuestro análisis estadístico más representativo la abundancia es baja referente a el índice de Berger Parker para nuestras tres estaciones; en cuanto a nuestra diversidad por el contrario fue alta con el índice anteriormente mencionado. Las disminuciones de las aves en las playas de Azuero deben llevarnos a tomar conciencia e implementar proyectos para mejorar los espacios y la conexión de hábitat en su ruta de migración.
