Methodologically, the quantitative approach was used, field type with descriptive design. The intervention was carried out in the Faculty of Humanities. The sample consisted of thirty-six (36) students who studied Language and Communication in Spanish in the summer period of 2022. The data collection techniques: documentary analysis and the survey, as instruments, the qualified practice was applied. For validity, content or expert judgments are considered. For data analysis descriptive and percentage interpretation. As conclusions: The lack of knowledge that students have about the use of microstructure, macrostructure and superstructure in the writing of expository texts was diagnosed, the discursive deficiencies in the textual structures were determined and recommendations were generated to improve these deficits in the writing of texts. El propósito de la investigación fue analizar el uso de la microestructura, macroestructura y superestructura en la redacción de textos expositivo-desarrollados por los estudiantes de la asignatura Lenguaje y Comunicación en Español de la Universidad de Panamá, año 2022. Metodológicamente se utilizó el enfoque cuantitativo, tipo campo con diseño descriptivo. La intervención se llevó a cabo en la Facultad de Humanidades. La muestra estuvo conformada por treinta y seis (36) estudiantes que cursaron Lenguaje y Comunicación en español en el período verano 2022. Las técnicas de recolección de datos: el análisis documental y la encuesta, como instrumentos se aplicó la práctica calificada. Para la validez se considera de contenido o juicios de expertos. Para el análisis de los datos interpretación descriptiva y porcentual. Como conclusiones: Se diagnosticó el desconocimiento que tienen estudiantes sobre el uso de la microestructura, macroestructura y superestructura en la redacción de textos expositivos, se determinaron las deficiencias discursivas en las estructuras textuales y, se generaron recomendaciones para mejorar estos déficit en la redacción de textos.
