It asks what their essential characteristics and forms are. The purpose of the text was to discuss, in introductory notes, the existence of these configurations in the identity of Catholicism and the Church. As a qualitative hypothesis, it is proposed that these essential characteristics and forms of cosmopolitics are derived from the relationship between the institution and religious expression (Catholics) during its historical existence. The methodology has been qualitative. In order to answer the question, bibliographic-theoretical notes, ideal types, and certain historical traces were used. El objetivo de este artículo es investigar, aunque sea brevemente, las cosmopolíticas que animan al catolicismo y a la Iglesia. Se interroga cuáles podrían ser sus características y formas esenciales. El propósito del texto es discutir, en notas introductorias, la presencia de esas configuraciones en la identidad del catolicismo y de la Iglesia. Como hipótesis cualitativa, se propone que esas características y formas esenciales de la cosmopolítica se derivan del vínculo entre la institución y las expresiones religiosas católicas, en el curso de su existencia histórica. La metodología utilizada es la cualitativa y para responder a la pregunta de investigación se utilizaron notas bibliográfico-teóricas, tipos ideales y ciertos rasgos históricos. Neste artigo, objetiva-se investigar, ainda que brevemente, as cosmopolíticas que animam o catolicismo e a Igreja. Pergunta-se quais seriam suas características e formas essenciais. O intento do texto foi o de discutir em notas introdutórias, a presença dessas configurações na identidade do catolicismo e da Igreja. Como hipótese qualitativa, propõe-se que essas características e formas essenciais das cosmopolíticas, são derivadas da relação entre a instituição e a expressão religiosa católicas no decurso de sua existência história. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa. Para responder à questão, foi utilizada notas bibliográfico-teóricas, tipos ideais e determinados rasgos históricos.
