Croatto called this exercise eisegesis and proposed this concept as a way to bring liberation struggles into exegesis. The point is that many of the issues that are pressing for the Latin American and Caribbean communities have no reference in the Bible, one of those issues is the wealth of life that nourishes us. To think of the Bible is to think of the desert and sometimes the waters of the Mediterranean (especially the Acts of the Apostles). But the Bible does not know the jungle, it knows the desert, but not the thicket of mountain life. For this reason, and making a series of clarifications to build this position, we conclude with three great metaphors: the tangle, symbiosis and putrefaction. Se propone una posición social para realizar una lectura bíblica en donde el Caribe, como espacio vital, de los mundos que abrazan sus aguas, esté incluido. Croatto llamó a este ejercicio eiségesis y proponía este concepto como una manera de ingresar las luchas de liberación dentro de la exégesis. La cuestión es que muchos de los temas que son acuciantes para las comunidades latinoamericanas y caribeñas no tienen referente en la Biblia, uno de esos temas es la riqueza de vida que nos nutre. Pensar en la Biblia es pensar en el desierto y a veces en las aguas del Mediterráneo (sobre todo Hechos de los Apóstoles). Pero la Biblia no conoce la selva, conoce el desierto, pero no la espesura de vida de la montaña. Por esta razón, y haciendo una serie de aclaraciones para construir esta posición, se concluye con tres grandes metáforas: la maraña, la simbiosis y la putrefacción. Propõe-se um posicionamento social para realizar uma leitura bíblica onde se inclua o Caribe, como espaço vital, dos mundos que abraçam suas águas. Croatto chamou esse exercício de eisegese e propôs esse conceito como uma forma de trazer as lutas de libertação para a exegese. A questão é que muitos dos temas que pressionam as comunidades latino-americanas e caribenhas não têm referência na Bíblia, um desses temas é a riqueza da vida que nos alimenta. Pensar na Bíblia é pensar no deserto e às vezes nas águas do Mediterrâneo (especialmente nos Atos dos Apóstolos). Mas a Bíblia não conhece a selva, ela conhece o deserto, mas não o emaranhado da vida nas montanhas. Por isso, e fazendo uma série de esclarecimentos para construir essa posição, concluímos com três grandes metáforas: o emaranhado, a simbiosee a putrefação.
