Finally, presents a deeper analysis of the effects that these developments have had in Central America. El presente artículo hace un repaso de los enfoques de seguridad que se han implementado en la región tomando como base los cuatro elementos fundamentales a los que responden los distintos modelos, estos son el objeto de referencia, el origen de las amenazas,el ámbito de accionar y recursos para responder, y finalmente las dinámicas de amenazas, peligro y urgencia. Finalmente se hace un análisis más profundo de los efectos que esta evolución ha tenido en la región centroamericana.
