This could consequently generate some apprehension and uncertainty, and possibly wider student during the academic year 2020. Considering such eventuality, a special Conference titled in the same manner as this article was organized; such event was geared towards the educational and administrative body of the CEG with the main purpose of creating some bio-pedagogical instruments for sensitizing professors with respect to posible traumas of the new post-Pandemic students. In this article we present the essential basis of the Conference grounded upon the Theory of emotional intelligence by Daniel Goleman, as an ideal resource for confronting such adverse circumstances. All these aspects are approached using the bio-pedagogic emergent paradigm. First, we detail some contextual factors, and secondly we follow with the topic of educational lag, the basis for resilience, after critical events, emotional intelligence, and bio-pedagogical didactics. En vista de la coyuntura que ha atravesado el sistema educativo costarricense, con motivo de la pandemia generada por la COVID-19, que al final provocó una serie de medidas de restricción sanitaria emitidas por el Ministerio de Salud y antes, por las huelgas en el sector público, se previó que los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso al Centro de Estudios Generales (CEG) también podían presentar un rezago educativo. Esto podría generar, como consecuencia, temores e incertidumbre y, posiblemente, la deserción acelerada en el curso lectivo 2022. Ante este riesgo, se realizó una conferencia denominada de la misma forma que este artículo, dirigida al personal docente y administrativo del CEG, en febrero del 2022, con el fin de brindar algunas herramientas de sensibilización desde la biopedagogía, para que los docentes pudieran recibir a dichos estudiantes, de manera que estos contaran con el acompañamiento esperado, si hubieran atravesado otro tipo de trauma emocional. En este artículo, se presentan los fundamentos de la conferencia, que corresponden a teoría de la inteligencia emocional de Daniel Goleman, como propicia en la contribución de manifestaciones resilientes desde el contexto educativo del CEG y a modo de recurso idóneo para superar la adversidad. Todos estos aspectos se enmarcan en el paradigma emergente de la biopedagogía. Primero se detallan elementos contextuales, luego se retoma el tema del rezago educativo, bases sobre la resiliencia tras eventos críticos, inteligencia emocional y didáctica biopedagógica.
