AbstractReflection on the research about the relationships between film and architecture, beginning with general considerations, in order to establish a synthetic classification, taking into account what is the starting point of each investigation. The following sections focus first in history, with a summary of the most interesting books that were published in the century passed on this subject; then in the present, studying the status of the research today, focusing on the recent Congress held in Porto and the most important film festivals about architecture, and finally in the future, posing what may be one of the future challenges.
