In this paper we analyzed the legal boundaries within the new evaluation system for environment in Nicaragua from a business perspective. This is with the objective to recognize future challenges that represents a new system, such as private and public areas; how it aligns with our legal system. Likewise, compare the scope of the evaluation systems implemented at the regional level. That allows us to guarantee the sustainability of natural resources and the development of investments under a model of prediction of causes and effects that allow before its execution to define the necessary environmental measures aimed at preventing, correcting and mitigating environmental impacts. Durante los últimos años el Derecho Ambiental viene presentando un profundo avance en relación a los instrumentos de gestión ambiental, mediante un adecuado equilibrio entre las dimensiones económica, social y ambiental, en este contexto  en el presente trabajo analizamos los alcances jurídicos del nuevo sistema de evaluación ambiental de Nicaragua, desde la perspectiva empresarial, a fin de conocer los retos que representa su implementación,  tanto para el sector privado, como para el sector público y de qué forma se alinea a nuestro ordenamiento jurídico; así mismo, comparar los alcances de los sistemas de evaluación implementados a nivel de Centro América, lo que nos permite garantizar la sostenibilidad de los recursos naturales y el desarrollo de inversiones bajo un modelo de predicción de causas y efectos, que permitan antes de su ejecución definir las medidas ambientales necesarias dirigidas a prevenir, corregir y mitigar los impactos ambientales.
