It is descriptive in nature with a quantitative approach. To obtain data, a questionnaire was applied. The results were tabulated and analyzed using the chi-square statistic. It is concluded that field trips in the zootechnics career allow the integration of theoretical-practical knowledge, through the understanding of various contexts inherent to their training, comprehensive training is strengthened, thanks to aspects such as the impact on the problematization of the educational phenomena and the theory of their specialty, which guarantees not to separate the field activities from the theory developed in the classrooms. Estudio realizado en el Centro Regional Universitario de Veraguas (CRUV), con estudiantes de la carrera de Ingeniería Agrónoma Zootecnista, en donde se mide la influencia que tienen las giras de campo en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Es de carácter descriptivo con enfoque cuantitativo. Para la obtención de datos se aplicó un cuestionario. Los resultados fueron tabulados y analizados mediante el análisis el estadístico ji- cuadrado. Se concluye que las giras de campo en la carrera de zootecnia permiten la integración de conocimientos teórico-prácticos, a través de la comprensión de diversos contextos inherentes a su formación, se fortalece la formación integral, gracias a aspectos como el impacto en la problematización de los fenómenos educativos y la teoría de su especialidad, lo que garantiza no separar las actividades de campo de la teoría desarrollada en las aulas de clases.
