En respuesta a esta situación, se creó el Sistema Nacional de Acreditación de la Educación Superior (SINAES). La acreditación viene a garantizar la calidad de las carreras que se someten a sus procesos. La Universidad Nacional está consciente de la necesidad de ofrecer a la sociedad graduados cuya excelencia se vea certificada por los organismos competentes. En este marco, las Escuelas de Matemática e Informática, ambas pertenecientes a laFacultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, han accedido voluntariamente a someterse a los procesos de autoevaluación, acreditación y reacreditación. Este artículo presenta una breve síntesis de los resultados obtenidos en los procesos de autoevaluación para la reacreditación de las carreras impartidas por estas Unidades Académicas, a saber Bachillerato y Licenciatura en la Enseñanza de la Matemática e Ingeniería en Sistemas de Información con grado de Bachillerato, en lo que concierne a estudiantes, docentes, empleadores y graduados.Palabras clave: Autoevaluación, acreditación, calidad, educación superior, ventajas. AbstractThe university supply growth occurred in a context of deregulation and without specific inspection rules on performance and quality.In response to this situation, the Sistema Nacional de Acreditación de la Educación Superior (SINAES) was created. The accreditation is to ensure the quality of careers undergoing its processes.The Universidad Nacional is conscious of the need of offering society professionals whose excellency may be certified by the competent organisms. In this context, theEscuelas de Matemática e Informática, bothbelonging to the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, have voluntarily accepted to undergo the processes of self-evaluation, accreditation, and reaccreditation.
