The objective of this article is to provide information about the process of taking minutes not only in person but also virtually. The writing of minutes of collegiate or deliberative bodies is a subject that requires analysis from different aspects: technical, administrative, legal, structural, and drafting procedures. Everything is evidenced from the national regulations for public bodies as specialized criteria and theorical basis. The methodology used was based on a relevant bibliographic inquiry and the opinion of people in charge of participating in the taking of minutes, both in governmental and private organizations. The results show the importance of the minutes of collegiate bodies as a historical and current documentary type that reflects the substantive actionof the instances, either by a guideline that establishes it, or by the pertinent recognition of its use and application. El objetivo de este artículo es brindar información acerca del proceso de toma de actas no solo de forma presencial sino también virtual. La elaboración deactas de órganos colegiados o deliberativos es un tema que requiere análisis desde diferentes aspectos: procedimientos técnicos, administrativos, legales,estructurales y de redacción. Todo se evidencia desde la normativa nacional para instancias públicas como criterios especializados y fundamentación teórica. La metodología se realizó a partir de una indagación bibliográfica relevante y la opinión de personas encargadas de participar en la toma de actas, tanto en organizaciones gubernamentales como privadas. Como resultado, se muestra la importancia de las actas de órganos colegiados como tipo documental histórico y vigente que refleja la acción sustantiva de las instancias que lo utilizan, ya sea por una directriz que así lo establezca, o bien, por el reconocimiento pertinente de su uso y aplicación.
