REPERTORIO207782024-11-15T21:20:30Z To think about Latin America, from the general to the local Para pensar América Latina, de lo general a lo localizado González Sancho, Roy Critical Thinking Latin America Philosophy Political Philosophy pensamiento crítico América Latina filosofía filosofía política The main objective of this essay has been to formulate a provocation that introduces the relevance and the need to question the way of thinking from Latin America, especially in the face of the urgency of developing localized ways of responding to or questioning the fundamental questions that affect the very existence of the region. The academic essay methodology has been followed for its development and structuring of the text and discussion of results. In this way, three parts are proposed that organize the reflection of the text, namely: 1. Why think from a Latin American philosophy? 2. Thinking from moments of crisis. 3. Why think from a Latin American philosophy? Among the conclusions and results, among other aspects, the need to think from the concern for the particular situation and the occupation to reflect from a regional vision, questioning the evident absences in traditional systems of thought, while thinking in a reflective way is a political act because it manages to imagine and propose changes in social relations. The reluctance to accept subalternity and domination as an ethical and methodological imperative is proposed, while at the same time undertaking South-South dialogues with other former colonies, peripheries and indigenous knowledge. Finally, it is urged to avoid falling into common criticisms in the style of a “critical common sense”, or convenient criticism of the “normal” state of things. Este ensayo ha tenido por objetivo principal formular una provocación que introduzca la pertinencia y la necesidad de preguntarse por la forma de pensar desde América Latina, especialmente ante la urgencia de desarrollar formas localizadas de responder o cuestionarse por los temas fundamentales que afectan la propia existencia de la región. Se ha seguido la metodología de ensayo académico para su desarrollo, estructuración del texto y discusión de resultados. De esta forma, se proponen tres partes que organizan la reflexión del texto, a saber: 1. ¿Por qué pensar desde una filosofía latinoamericana? 2. Pensar desde los momentos de crisis. 3. De la reflexión a la acción. En las conclusiones y resultados se destacan, entre otros aspectos, la necesidad de pensar partiendo de la preocupación por la situación particular y la ocupación por reflexionar desde una visión regional, cuestionando las ausencias evidentes en los sistemas de pensamiento tradicionales, al tiempo que pensar en forma reflexiva es un acto político porque alcanza a imaginar y proponer cambios en las relaciones sociales. Se propone la reticencia a aceptar la subalternidad y la dominación como imperativo ético y metodológico, a la vez que emprender diálogos Sur-Sur con otras excolonias, periferias y conocimientos indígenas. Finalmente, se insta a evitar caer en las críticas comunes al estilo de un “sentido común crítico”, o crítica conveniente al estado “normal” de las cosas.
