Specifically, it makes assessments regarding poetic criticism where formal, semantic, and social approaches were privileged, evidencing the formal critical patterns of literary criticism and its representations in the Central American postwar period. Este artículo trata sobre la crítica literaria en la revista Repertorio Americano (1996-2004) como una manera de comprender los movimientos de esta crítica y la forma del pensamiento crítico y sus representaciones ideológicas y literarias en la región centroamericana. En específico, hace valoraciones al respecto de la crítica poética que privilegiaron aproximaciones de índole formal, semántica y social, evidenciando así los patrones críticos formales de la crítica literaria y sus representaciones en la posguerra centroamericana.
