Thosequestions were generated after reading the book on Rafael Chávez Torres by the researcher Ligia María Rosales Chacón. Some elements of Julia Kristeva about text theory are used, bringing us closer to thepyramidal structure of the sign ideologeme, from which we analyze the president of Costa Rica Tomás Guardia, we make a reading of the androcentric concept that he represents, and we approach it to concepts such as tonality. As music is a social text, we reviewed the musicaldrama using elements of the Western musical tradition, for which wepresented some musical signs and highlighted those that we consider reasons for pain that are used in the musical piece. El acercamiento compartido en el siguiente ensayo surge de la búsqueda de respuestas a preguntas alrededor de la marcha fúnebre más querida de Costa Rica. Preguntas generadas de la lectura del libro sobre Rafael Chávez Torres de la investigadoraLigia María Rosales Chacón. Se utilizan algunos elementos de la teoría de texto de Julia Kristeva, con la cual nos acercamos a la estructura piramidal del ideologema del signo y a partir de este nos acercamos a la figura de Tomás Guardia, realizamosuna lectura del concepto androcéntrico que representa y la relacionamos con conceptos como tonalidad. Como la música es un texto social, revisamos el drama musical con elementos dela tradición musical occidental, para lo cual utilizamos algunos signos musicales y se destacan los que se consideran motivos de dolor utilizados en la pieza.
