This study is based on Sartre byhimself (1955) and The Existentialism is a Humanism (1946),by Sartre, and The Myth of Sisyphus (1942) and The Revel Man (1951) by Camus. El presente artículo se basa en la interrogante: ¿Cómo se presenta el contraste argumentativo del concepto de responsabilidad en los postulados filosóficos de Jean-Paul Sartre y de Albert Camus? El objetivo principal de este estudio es relacionar la forma en la que ambos autores abordan, coinciden y difieren en diversos puntos filosóficos con respecto al tratamiento de esta idea (la responsabilidad humana individual y social) a lo largo de sus obras, y vincular este contraste con las disputas que tuvieron entre sí ambos escritores en vida. Se busca establecer conexiones y diferencias entre ambas posturas filosóficas (existencialismo y absurdismo) y acercarse a las bases de sus ideas.
