Specifically, it will focus on the expression of the absurdism and what this category implies in the configuration of the textual interweaving of the story. As theoretical-methodological references, The Myth of Sisyphus (1942) by the Algerian-French writer Albert Camus, and the theory of intertextuality by Julia Kristeva (1978). In this analysis, it was proved that in the text under study there are elements of the absurdism that demonstrate the influence of Camusian thought in Salazar Herrera’s storytelling. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los rasgos del absurdismo camusiano presentes en el cuento “Un grito” (1947), del escritor costarricense Carlos Salazar Herrera. Específicamente, se enfocará en la expresión del absurdo y lo que esta categoría implica en la configuración del entretejido textual del relato. Como referentes teórico-metodológicos se utilizan El mito de Sísifo (1942) del escritor argelino-francés Albert Camus y la teoría de la intertextualidad de Julia Kristeva (1978). En este artículo se comprobó que en el texto en estudio se evidencian elementos de lo absurdo que demuestran la influencia del pensamiento camusiano en la cuentística de Salazar Herrera. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los rasgos del absurdismo camusiano presentes en el cuento “Un grito” (1947), del escritor costarricense Carlos Salazar Herrera.
