Italso studies the song "Zamba del carnaval" as seen as the result from twodifferent periods in time in which it was rewritten; it also displays how contemporaryresources have been added to South American folk. Este artículo expone una breve reseña sobre la industria del folclore musicalen Argentina para evidenciar sus principales pujas para la comercializacióndel género. Luego, se analiza la canción “Zamba del carnaval” en dos épocasdistintas y su respectiva reescritura, como una muestra de la incorporaciónde recursos contemporáneos al folclor suramericano.
