Through a series of historical facts fictionalized by a movementof Latin Ameican strident poets, the author lets us glimpse, as if it were aregional radiography, a whole series of scenarios ranging from repression andstate terrorism, to the exile, patriarchy, the search for a Latin American poeticidentity, among others. This article seeks to establish a relationship betweenthese fictional facts and the Latin American historical reality. En su obra Los detectives salvajes, Roberto Bolaño nos invita a hacer unrecorrido por la historia de terror vivida tras la instauración de una serie dedictaduras y gobiernos totalitarios durante la década de los sesentas y setentasen la región latinoamericana. A través de una serie de hechos históricosficcionalizados por un movimiento de poetas estridentistas de Latinoamérica,el autor nos deja entrever, como si se tratase de una radiografía regional,toda una serie de escenarios que van desde la represión y el terrorismo deEstado, hasta el exilio, el patriarcado, la búsqueda de una identidad poéticalatinoamericana, entre otros. El presente artículo busca establecer una relaciónentre dichos hechos ficcionales y la realidad histórica latinoamericana.
