Added to this are the contingents of migrants who occupy the American continent as a route towards the American dream and who come from other regions of the world: Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. These phenomena are presented in greater depth in the current humanitarian and human security crisis on the northern and southern borders of Mexico and the Darién jungle on the border between Panama and Colombia. Therefore, the article aims to analyze some regional migration policies in America and the actions that each country in question implements to contain the migratory flows that transit the continent and deport migrants in masse. Examines mechanisms to prevent entry. These containment policies have a militarized nuance that forces migrants to seek more dangerous routes to reach their destinations; on these long journeys, many find death. The article is the result of a qualitative investigation that articulates empirical data to theoretical-conceptual analysis, for this academic articles, reports, conventions and documents prepared by international organizations were reviewed, in such a way that the main findings are aimed at proposing that migration policies contemporary movements in America do not seek to solve the problems that cause migration and forced displacement, on the contrary, they worsen internal factors by violating migrants and violating their human rights. Históricamente, los países latinoamericanos han sido expulsores de migrantes. En el siglo XXI se presenta un incremento exponencial debido a problemáticas propias que comparten las naciones, como la inseguridad, pobreza, inflación, desempleo, megaproyectos, cambio climático y desastres naturales; violencias perpetradas por cárteles del narcotráfico, bandas, pandillas, grupos delincuenciales y crimen organizado transnacional; violencia política provocada por dictaduras como las de Nicaragua, Venezuela y Cuba, estos elementos provocan el desplazamiento forzado de venezolanos, cubanos y nicaragüenses. A ello, se suman los contingentes de migrantes que ocupan el continente americano como ruta de paso hacia el sueño americano y que provienen de otras regiones del mundo: África, Asia, Medio Oriente y Europa del Este. Estos fenómenos se presentan con mayor profundidad en la actual crisis humanitaria y de seguridad humana en las fronteras norte y sur de México y la selva del Darién en la frontera entre Panamá y Colombia. Por lo tanto, el artículo tiene como objetivo analizar algunas políticas regionales migratorias en América y las acciones que cada país en cuestión implementa para contener los flujos migratorios que transitan por el continente y deportar masivamente a migrantes. Examina los mecanismos para evitar el ingreso; estas políticas de contención tienen un matiz militarizado que orilla a los migrantes a buscar rutas más peligrosas para llegar a sus destinos; en estos grandes recorridos muchos encuentran la muerte. El artículo es resultado de una investigación cualitativa que articula datos empíricos al análisis teórico-conceptual, para ello se revisaron artículos académicos, informes, convenciones y documento elaborados por organismos internacionales, de tal suerte que los hallazgos principales se encaminan a proponer que las políticas migratorias contemporáneas en América no buscan resolver los problemas que originan la migración y los desplazamientos forzados, al contrario, recrudecen los factores internos, al violentar a migrantes y violar sus derechos humanos.
