Objective: Determine the epidemiological profile of consulting people by diabetic foot in the Emergency Unit of Hospital Nacional San Rafael in the period from May to July 2023. Methodology: A descriptive, cross-sectional investigation was carried out which was developed in the period from May to July 2023 in the Emergency Unit of Hospital Nacional San Rafael. Rafael, the information was collected from clinical records and downloaded into a Microsoft Excel matrix for processing, classification and analysis. Results: The sex distribution of patients with diabetic foot do not show any difference and as age increases, the number of cases of diabetic foot also increases. The main associated risk factors were smoking and alcohol abuse, and the 92% of all patients had plasma glucose values above 200 mg/dl. The 43% had a history of previous amputations and the most common comorbidity was high blood pressure. All patients presented some type of involvement according to Wagner's classification, and the 83% of them presented a moderate risk of amputation, the 36% of them ended up in amputations and the rest in some type of debridement or curettage. La diabetes mellitus es uno de los temas de salud más relevantes, debido a su prevalencia, y consecuencias físicas - psicosociales sobre las personas que la padecen, así como el impacto económico sobre la sociedad, Objetivo: Determinar el perfil epidemiológico de la población consultante por pie diabético en la Unidad de Emergencia de Hospital Nacional San Rafael en el periodo de mayo a Julio de 2023. Metodología: Se realizó una investigación descriptiva, transversal la cual se desarrolló en el periodo de mayo a julio 2023 en Unidad de Emergencia de Hospital Nacional San Rafael, la información se recopilo a partir de expedientes clínicos y se descargó en una matriz de Microsoft Excel para su procesamiento, clasificación y análisis. Resultados: La distribución por sexo de los pacientes con pie diabético no muestra ninguna diferencia y a medida aumenta la edad también incrementan el número de casos de pie diabético. Los principales factores de riesgo asociados fueron tabaquismo y etilismo y el 92 % de todos los pacientes poseía valores de glucosa plasmática arriba de 200 mg/dl. El 43% poseían antecedentes de amputaciones previas y la comorbilidad que más se presento fue la hipertensión arterial. Todos los pacientes presentaron algún tipo de afectación según la clasificación de Wagner, 83% de ellos presentaron riesgo moderado de amputación de ellos el 36% terminaron en amputaciones y el resto en algún tipo de debridación o curetaje.
