Five additional species are a1so included by the examination of their type materials: Eteone heteropoda Hartman 1951 (AHF 1 20), Nereiphylla magnaoculata (TreadweIl 190l ) (USNM 1 5951 ) , P. (Anaitides) panamensis TreadweJl 191 7 (USNM 1 6831), P. (Phyllodoce) tortugae TreadweJl 1917 (AMNH 975, 979) and Pterocirrus foliosus (TreadweIl 1924) (USNM 20328). Sorne additional specimens of Phyllodoce groenlandica 0rsted 1842 and P._mucosa 0rsted 1843, from the North Sea were used for comparative analysis.
