This paper analizes the efforts made to contribuye the environment protection since a gender and biodiversity perspectiva, regaining the central practices of food security healthy production and forests conservation. Through a brief retelling, it identifies the main international events, agreements, conventions among others thaf Costa Rica has agreed upon in terms of human sustainable development, it also recognizes the main contributions frum Eco feminist females theoreticians. It also propose some recommendations focused on a culture of respect, equality of opportunities and environmental conservation. El presente trabajo analiza desde la perspectiva de género y la biodiversidad, los esfuerzos realizados en el ámbito global por contribuir a la protección del ambiente, recuperando las prácticas ancestrales de seguridad alimentaria, producción sana y conservación del bosque. Mediante un recuento breve identifica los principales eventos internacionales, convenios, convenciones y acuerdos –entre otros–, que Costa Rica ha suscrito en materia de desarrollo humano sostenible; reconoce los principales aportes de teóricas del ecofeminismo y propone recomendaciones centradas en la cultura de respeto, igualdad de oportunidades y conservación del ambiente.
