The function of this device is to guarantee the architectonical cognitive integrity of human empirical knowledge, h. e., the only possible human knowledge on sensible objects. Kant, esto es, la tesis reflexiva de acuerdo con la cual el ideal transcendental (prototypon transcendentale), teóricamente concebido, no es más que un recurso heurístico de la razón.
