During the talk, we visit the first decisions that got him to opt for the research about History teaching, and his reflections related with the didactical content knowledge and its development in preservice and in-service teachers. In the last stage of this dialog, he refers to the personal and professional relationship with Joan Pagès Blanch (1947-2020), his doctoral thesis advisor, and he shares with us his current questions concerning the tie between the History teaching in schools, and the building of citizenships. En esta entrevista, Gabriel Villalón Gálvez, investigador chileno, nos da   a conocer su recorrido en el campo de la enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales. Durante la conversación, visitamos las primeras decisiones que lo llevaron a optar por la investigación acerca de la enseñanza de la historia, así como sus reflexiones sobre el conocimiento didáctico del contenido y el desarrollo de este por parte del profesorado en formación y en ejercicio. En la última fase de este diálogo, se refiere a su relación humana y profesional con Joan Pagès Blanch (1947-2020), su director de tesis doctoral, y comparte con nosotros sus actuales interrogantes sobre la relación entre la enseñanza de la historia en las escuelas y la construcción de ciudadanías.
