Este análisis se presentará a partir de las teorías del ritual y la memoria desde una perspectiva holística. Este artículo es parte de una investigación más amplia que se ha realizado a través del Consejo de Investigaciones Científicas de la Universidad de El Salvador y el programa de Doctorado del Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.Monsignor Romero is a relevant figure in El Salvador, not only for the Catholic community, but also for the social and political movements that see in Romero a figure of defense and a figure that establishes parameters that guide his daily life. That is why I intend to give an account of the rituals performed for the commemoration of the 36th anniversary of the martyrdom of Monsignor Romero celebrated by the Official Church and the Community of the Crypt. This analysis is presented from the theories of ritual and memory from a holistic perspective. This article is part of a broader research that has been carried out through the Council of Scientific Research of the University of El Salvador and the Doctorate program of the Institute of Anthropological Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
