The study was carried out with students from various secondary education institutions belonging to the four departments of the para-central zone, with the objective of obtaining different perspectives of future high school graduates on the study of careers in the Multidisciplinary Faculty of the Para-Central of the University of El Salvador. A quantitative approach was used, consisting of three stages: planning, execution and data analysis. In the planning phase, a questionnaire with closed questions was designed for data collection. During the execution phase, it was administered in person in 49 secondary education institutions in the para-central area. In the data analysis phase, the information collected through the survey was entered into the PSPP statistical software, performing frequency analysis and crossing of variables. The results were organized into sections, presenting quantitative information in tables and graphs. 2,376 graduates in participation (59% General Modality and 41% Technical Modality), of which 1,351 were women (57%) and 1,025 men (43%), highlighting the age of 17 years which represented 44%. 70% of those surveyed express interest in studying at the University of El Salvador, with the most in-demand careers at the Multidisciplinary Faculty of the Para-Central Zone being a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Language Teaching with a specialization in English-French, Computer Systems Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. El estudio fue desarrollado con estudiantes de las diversas instituciones de educación media pertenecientes a los 4 departamentos de la zona paracentral, buscando obtener las diferentes perspectivas de los futuros bachilleres acerca de estudiar las carreras de la Facultad Multidisciplinaria Paracentral de la Universidad de El Salvador. Se trabajó con un enfoque cuantitativo, teniendo por etapas tres fases las cuales fueron: planificación, ejecución y análisis de datos. En la fase de planificación, se diseñó un cuestionario con preguntas cerradas para la recolección de datos. En el transcurso de la fase de ejecución fue aplicado de forma presencial en 49 instituciones de educación media pertenecientes a la zona paracentral. En la fase de análisis de datos, la información recopilada a través de la encuesta fue ingresada en el software estadístico PSPP, realizando análisis de frecuencias y cruce de variables. Los resultados fueron ordenados en apartados, presentando la información cuantitativa en cuadros y gráficos. La participación fue de 2,376 bachilleres (59% Modalidad General y 41% Modalidad Técnico) de los cuales 1,351 fueron mujeres (57%) y 1,025 fueron hombres (43%); sobresaliendo una edad de 17 años con un 44%. El 70% de los encuestados manifiesta tener intereses de estudiar en la Universidad de El Salvador, teniendo como carreras más demandadas en la Facultad Multidisciplinaria Paracentral: Licenciatura en Enseñanzas de Idiomas Extranjeros con especialidad inglés-francés, Ingeniería de Sistemas Informáticos y Licenciatura en Administración de Empresas.
