My approach emphasizes the vibrant and dynamic link that is established between those disappeared by one of the multiple forms of violence that shakes Central America, those present who wait and look for them, and the spectators who have watched for the documentaries. I approach trauma and memory by looking at the bodies, affections, emotions and intimacy of the families of the disappeared, thus expanding the range of perspectives and stories about trauma and memory. From this study, it emerges that mourning does not constitute the only affective modality with which to reflect on these aspects, but it only represents one of the modalities of the affective charge that is unleashed in the relationship between absent, present and spectators. El estudio analiza el tema de la desaparición forzada centroamericana a través del documental de Tatiana Huezo, Ausencias (2015), y el de Marcela Zamora, El cuarto de los huesos (2005). Mi enfoque hace hincapié en el vínculo vivo y dinámico que se establece entre los seres ausentes –los desaparecidos por una de las múltiples formas de violencia que sacude Centroamérica–, los presentes que los esperan y buscan, y los receptores del documental. Me acerco al trauma y a la memoria por medio del cuerpo, el afecto, las emociones y la intimidad de los familiares de los desaparecidos, ampliando así el abanico de miradas y relatos sobre el trauma y la memoria, de manera tal que el duelo no constituya la única modalidad afectiva con la que reflexionar sobre estos aspectos, sino que represente solo una de las modalidades de la carga afectiva que se desata en la relación entre ausentes, presentes y espectadores.
