This reductionist attitude has denied regional diversity in terms of geography and population as well as it ignored deliberately the changes and advances –driven by the needs of the international market– that have taken place since the end of the 19th century, specifically in labor relations between coffee plantation and the indigenous population. The analysis of the internal documentation of the Perú-París plantation aims to open up the historiographic panorama with a differentiated vision of the labor reality in the first half of the 20th century in Chiapas. La historiografía posrevolucionaria mexicana acerca de las relaciones laborales en el estado de Chiapas ha dibujado una imagen unilateral al limitar sus interpretaciones a una visión simplista entre explotador y explotado. Esta actitud reduccionista ha negado la diversidad regional en lo geográfico y poblacional igual que ha desconocido los cambios y avances –impulsados por las necesidades del mercado internacional– sucedidos desde finales del siglo XIX, específicamente en las relaciones laborales entre fincas cafetaleras y población indígena. El análisis de la documentación interna de la finca Perú-París pretende abrir más el panorama historiográfico con una visión diferenciada de la realidad laboral en la primera mitad del siglo XX en Chiapas. A historiografia pós-revolucionária mexicana sobre as relações de trabalho no estado de Chiapas traçou uma imagem unilateral ao limitar suas interpretações a uma visão simplista entre explorador e explorado. Essa atitude reducionista negou a diversidade regional em termos geográficos e populacionais, assim como ignorou as mudanças e avanços —impulsionados pelas necessidades do mercado internacional— ocorridos desde o final do século XIX, especificamente nas relações de trabalho entre fazendas de café e a população indígena. A análise da documentação interna da fazenda Peru-Paris visa abrir ainda mais o panorama historiográfico com uma visão diferenciada da realidade trabalhista na primeira metade do século XX em Chiapas.
