| Sumario: | Este estudio presenta una distribución cuantitativa de variantes plural de los sustantivos vocales interminables observados en el cantón de Curridabat, provincia de San José. El propósito de la investigación es determinar la relación, en primer lugar, entre el contexto lingüístico que determina la palabra elegida y las variantes plural utilizados y, en segundo lugar, entre estas variantes y las variables sociales de la edad, sexo y nivel de educación de los hablantes.This study presents a quantitative distribution of plural varíants for vowel-ending nouns observed in Curridabat county, province of San José. The purpose of the research is to determine the relationship, fírst, between the linguistic context which determines the word chosen and the plural variants used and, second, between these variants and the social variables of age, sex and level of education of the speakers.
