It was descriptive, non-experimental, cross-correlational, with the proposed methodology it is expected to determine the accounting treatment given by milk producers in the central provinces of Panama to the biological assets of their farms. The implementation of an accounting system in accordance with the International Accounting Standards allows for financial control, evaluation of the company's goals and the presentation of real results, which can be interpreted globally. In the study carried out, it was identified that the producers are unaware of terms related to international accounting regulations and therefore, for the most part, they do not make records of the income or of the accounts that intervene in the capitalization of the Assets. El objetivo de la investigación es conocer el tratamiento contable de los Activos biológicos de las fincas lecheras de las provincias de Coclé, Herrera, Veraguas y Los Santos con la finalidad de diseñar una propuesta guía que les permita a los productores implementar los registros y valoración de los activos biológicos, según las normas internacionales de Contabilidad, para conocer el resultado real de su actividad productora y a la vez tomar decisiones acertadas. Con la metodología propuesta, descriptiva, correlacional, se espera determinar el tratamiento contable que le dan los productores de leche de las provincias centrales de Panamá a los Activos biológicos de sus fincas.  La implementación de un sistema contable permite tener un control financiero, evaluar las metas de la empresa y la presentación de resultados reales, los cuales pueden ser interpretados a nivel global. En el estudio realizado se identificó que los productores desconocen términos relacionados a la normativa internacional de Contabilidad y por ende en su mayoría no hacen registros de los ingresos ni de las cuentas que intervienen en la capitalización de los Activos.
