This research has a mixed approach because quantitative and qualitative data analysis are carried out; the work is exploratory. On the other hand, the SPSS statistical package is used to calculate correlation coefficients between variables; the data was obtained by applying a structured survey through the Google Docs platform. The study concludes that technical university careers in Tela have contributed to improving the access to the labour market for graduates but, it does not influence the improvement of the quality of said jobs; on the other hand, subjective poverty shows lower levels compared to objective poverty; The fact of having a job influences the perception of poverty in graduates of technical university careers in Tela. El presente trabajo pretende evaluar las condiciones laborales de los egresados de carreras técnicas universitarias en Tela, Atlántida, Honduras y la relación que existe entre la condición laboral, la pobreza objetiva y la pobreza subjetiva. Esta investigación tiene un enfoque mixto ya que se hacen análisis de datos cuantitativos y cualitativos, el trabajo es de tipo exploratorio.  Por otra parte, se hace uso del paquete estadístico SPSS para el cálculo de coeficientes de correlación entre las variables, los datos fueron obtenidos mediante la aplicación de una encuesta estructurada a través de la plataforma de Google Docs. El estudio concluye que las carreras técnicas universitarias en Tela han contribuido a mejorar el acceso al mercado laboral de los egresados, pero no influye en la mejora de la calidad de dichos empleos. Por otra parte, la pobreza subjetiva muestra menores niveles en comparación con la pobreza objetiva, el hecho de poseer un empleo influye en la percepción de la pobreza en los egresados de carreras técnicas universitarias en Tela.
