Estudio epistemológico basado en Dussel y Freire Mujica Johnson, Felipe colonialism cultural diversity Latin American culture philosophy of education colonialismo cultura latinoamericana diversidad cultural epistemología filosofía de la educación In the last decades, new epistemological discussions have been developed to support Latin American pedagogies that distance themselves from the hegemonic discourses of modernity and their colonial accent. In this context, this essay aims to contribute to the understanding of some of the relationships between Enrique Dussel’s pedagogy and Paulo Freire’s pedagogy of liberation. In the first section that contributes to this objective, the three chapters of Dussel’s book La pedagógica latinoamericana and the first two chapters of Freire’s book Pedagogy of the Opressed are presented. From Dussel’s book, the concepts father-State, mother-popular culture, and son-child-people are highlighted as symbols that explain the cultural relations of domination. From Freire’s book, the concepts of oppressors, oppressed, banking education, and liberating education are highlighted. In the second section of the development, a distinction is made on the levels of analysis of each philosopher and some coincidences on the banking dimension, totality, exteriority, otherness, and the hope of a liberated world. To conclude the paper, it is considered that there is a correlation between both philosophers that favor the dialectic of the collective human and the cultural human in Latin American pedagogies. En las últimas décadas, se han estado desarrollando novedosas discusiones epistemológicas que fundamentan las pedagogías latinoamericanas que se distancian de los discursos hegemónicos de la modernidad y su acento colonial. En este contexto, se escribe este ensayo que pretende contribuir a la comprensión de algunas de las relaciones de la pedagógica de Enrique Dussel y la pedagogía de la liberación de Paulo Freire. En el primer apartado que contribuye a este objetivo, se presentan los tres capítulos del libro La Pedagógica latinoamericana de Dussel y los dos primeros capítulos del libro Pedagogía del oprimido de Freire. En Dussel, se destacan los conceptos padre-Estado, madre-cultura popular e hijo-niño-pueblo, como símbolos que explican las relaciones culturales de dominación. Del libro de Freire, se reconocen los conceptos de opresores, oprimidos, educación bancaria y educación liberadora. En el segundo apartado del desarrollo, se expone una distinción sobre los niveles de análisis de cada filósofo y algunas coincidencias sobre la dimensión bancaria, la totalidad, la exterioridad, la alteridad y la esperanza de un mundo liberado. Para finalizar el escrito, se considera que existe un correlato entre ambos filósofos que favorecen la dialéctica de lo humano colectivo y lo humano cultural en las pedagogías latinoamericanas.
