Therefore, this document presents the curricular models in force in the Colombian education system, the reference documents of educational quality in Colombia, and a review of the public policies implemented during the confinement due to the pandemic. It is possible to identify the challenges that have been generated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the educational field. Thus, through the information gathered, it is concluded that, although Colombia was not prepared to face this situation, it assumed the challenge of continuing with quality education, and despite the gaps and barriers encountered, the government promoted public policies that covered all educational levels. Los últimos tres años han estado afectados fuertemente por una situación mundial, la pandemia por COVID-19, una crisis que marcó especialmente los procesos educativos y, de manera puntual, los aprendizajes del estudiantado. De ahí que, por medio de este escrito, se presentan los modelos curriculares vigentes en el sistema educativo colombiano, los documentos de referencia de calidad educativa en Colombia y un recorrido por las políticas públicas implementadas durante el confinamiento por la pandemia suscitada. Se muestra la posibilidad de identificar los retos que se han generado, por causa de la pandemia, en el ámbito educativo. De esta manera, a través de la información recopilada, se concluye que, Colombia, aunque no estaba preparada para afrontar esta situación, asumió el desafío de seguir con una educación de calidad y, pese a las brechas y barreras encontradas, el Gobierno impulsó políticas públicas que abarcaron todos los niveles formativos.
